Gummy Smile?

Many VeroDental patients with gummy smiles undergo gum contouring procedures to bring proper balance and symmetry to their smiles.

Gum contouring, also known as gum reshaping, is often performed to improve the aesthetics of a smile by addressing issues such as excessive gum tissue, uneven gum lines, or gum recession. This procedure can enhance the appearance of teeth by making them look more proportionate and is typically carried out using lasers or surgical instruments

A 'gummy smile' is a term used to describe a smile with teeth that appear too short because an unusual amount of bone and soft tissue hide part of the crown. Our cosmetic dental patients who have opted for this procedure love how their new perfect smile looks and feels. Some of our gum contouring patients also choose teeth whitening for an extra-dazzling smile!

At VeroDental, we perform cosmetic and restorative gum contouring for patients in the Lehi, Highland, and Alpine areas. The surgery can be performed by a general dentist, periodontist, or oral surgeon.

If you are interested in this or any other cosmetic dental procedure and live in the American Fork, area, schedule an exam with our team. When you come in, we can show you before and after photos of Utah cosmetic dentistry patients who are enjoying their new smiles!
